What Are Location Pages?

Location pages help customers understand the services a business provides in a particular place. They may describe a staffed business location or an area where a business travels to customers. Local landing pages can cover one service or several related services, depending on what visitors need.

How Many Location Pages Does Your Business Need?

Three services across four cities gives you twelve combinations to consider. It does not automatically mean you need twelve separate pages. This worksheet helps you separate what is covered, what appears to be missing and what you still need to check.

It uses your answers and business preferences. It does not measure search demand, competition, rankings, margins or the quality of your existing pages. Those checks turn a starting list into a sound SEO plan.

How to Use the Location Pages Calculator

  1. List your services and areas.
  2. Include, prioritize or exclude each area.
  3. Mark existing coverage, missing coverage, unknowns and combinations that do not apply.
  4. Optionally add job values to sort the list and explore a revenue scenario.
  5. Review and print your list. Ask David for a conversation if you want help deciding what comes next.

When Should You Create or Improve Service Area Pages?

Start with your existing pages. If a broader service page already answers the customer's question for that area, improving it may be enough. Consider a separate service area page when it addresses a distinct need and you can provide useful information or evidence. Combine topics when separate pages would repeat the same answer.

What Makes Local Landing Pages Useful?

Useful location landing pages explain what you offer, where you work and how a customer can take the next step. Relevant project examples, service details and local proof can help visitors decide. Location pages SEO starts with a useful purpose; swapping city names across near-identical pages does not create one.

Location Pages FAQ

What is a location page?

A location page explains what a business offers in a particular place. It may cover one service or several related services. The right scope depends on what customers need and how the rest of the website is organized.

Does every service and city need its own page?

No. A service and city combination is a starting point for review, not an automatic page requirement. Search demand, existing coverage, overlapping intent and useful local evidence help determine whether to create a page, improve one or combine topics.

How does the starting priority list work?

Only combinations you mark as missing in included areas appear on the opportunity list. Priority areas come first. Within each area priority, combinations with a job value come first, sorted from highest to lowest. Unpriced combinations keep your input order. This is a business preference sort, not a researched SEO build order.

What does the revenue scenario mean?

The scenario multiplies your entered job value by your assumed additional jobs per opportunity per year for priced, confirmed gaps in included areas. It is illustrative gross revenue, not a forecast, profit estimate or evidence of lost business. Unknown, excluded and unpriced combinations do not contribute.

How should I use location pages responsibly?

Create a separate page only when it serves a useful purpose for customers. Explain the service in that area, include relevant evidence where available and connect the page to the rest of the site. Simply swapping city names or adding generic local facts is not enough.

Is the information I enter private?

Your calculator inputs stay in your browser unless you choose to share them. Requesting a conversation sends your email address. Your website and planning details are sent only when you check the sharing box. Results are available without providing an email, and refreshing the page clears your inputs.

Give every page a purpose

Your planning list starts the conversation. A Rank Outlaw diagnosis looks at the site, the market and the evidence to decide what deserves attention.
